Zolena Lab provides lifecycle PEMS technical services for industrial combustion facilities, from PEMS-ready design and data review, through NOx model development and operational diagnostics, to technical review of existing PEMS solutions.

Three service paths

Start where the project is: integration planning, operating data, or an existing PEMS model that needs review.

PEMS should not be treated only as a model. For gas turbines, boilers, CHP, HRSG, backup power systems, industrial parks, and microgrids, it is a data and operating-intelligence layer that depends on the right operating tags, emissions data, time alignment, commissioning records, and validation pathway.

Zolena Lab works through three practical entry points: PEMS-Ready Project Integration Service for new or upgraded projects, One-Unit NOx PEMS Pilot for operating assets, and PEMS Second Opinion & Model Performance Review for existing models, validation reports, or supplier proposals.

Single technical coordination window

Zolena coordinates PEMS data preparation, system-interface requirements, model-development planning, and coordination with qualified third-party testing partners when required.

Where it fits

AI data center backup power systems, new gas power and CHP projects, HRSG packages, industrial parks, microgrids, mining energy projects, remote community energy systems, and major retrofit projects.

Design/Data Review module

Review future NOx model inputs, tag naming, units, sampling frequency, timestamp alignment, data-quality flags, missing or invalid data handling, and data provenance.

System interface coordination

Coordinate PEMS-related requirements across CEMS or analyzer data, PLC, DCS, SCADA, Historian, EPC, OEM, controls, and environmental teams.

Deliverable integration

Help align work progress, technical questions, responsibilities, and deliverables so the customer does not have to stitch together every PEMS-related supplier conversation alone.

Zolena defines PEMS requirements, coordinates technical work, and integrates PEMS-related deliverables. Each partner remains responsible for its own professional scope, quality, and performance. Zolena does not automatically assume schedule or delivery responsibility for work outside its control unless a contract expressly assigns that role.

Operating facilities

One-Unit NOx PEMS Pilot.

Where it fits

Operating gas turbines, industrial boilers, reciprocating gas engines, CHP systems, and industrial microgrids that already have accumulated NOx monitoring and historical process data.

How it starts

Zolena Lab uses the customer's existing NOx instrument, CEMS, SCADA, or Historian data to assess and build a single-unit predictive model. A first feasibility review does not require new hardware if the available data is suitable.

Paid pilot scope

A practical technical package for internal decisions.

Data feasibility

Review historical operating and NOx data, including available tags, time coverage, data quality, and operating-range coverage.

Cleaning and time alignment

Prepare model-ready datasets by cleaning records, synchronizing timestamps, and checking data gaps or inconsistent units.

Single-unit NOx model

Develop a site-specific NOx predictive model for one boiler, turbine, engine, CHP module, or selected combustion unit.

Technical validation

Compare predicted NOx with measured NOx on independent data and document error, bias, and behavior under different operating conditions.

Anomaly support

Flag abnormal divergence between predicted NOx and instrument data as a prompt for further investigation, without declaring drift from the model alone.

Internal missing-data examples

Show how modeled values may support internal analysis during data interruptions, subject to local reporting rules and facility approval.

Long-term data use

Analyze emissions trends and operating relationships that may support monitoring, troubleshooting, and post-pilot subscription services.

Pilot report

Deliver a written technical validation and pilot report for internal review, next-step planning, and partner coordination.

Who it is for

Project teams that are not ready for full integration coordination can start with a narrower PEMS-ready design and data review for one unit, one power module, or one design package.

Why it matters

The review checks whether the planned data design can support future PEMS modeling, emissions diagnostics, and long-term analysis before commissioning and handover.

Data tags and interfaces

Identify likely operating and emissions parameters, then review NOx analyzer, CEMS, PLC, SCADA, and Historian interface readiness.

Quality and traceability

Check tag names, units, sampling frequency, time synchronization, quality flags, missing-data handling, data source versioning, and traceability.

Commissioning readiness

Identify design-stage or commissioning-stage gaps and define the data conditions needed for later model development and validation.

When it helps

A buyer, owner, or project team may already have a PEMS proposal, model, validation report, or supplier explanation but still be unsure whether the data, assumptions, and reported performance are strong enough to move forward.

What Zolena Lab reviews

Zolena Lab can review data quality, training and validation logic, reported model performance, operating-condition bias, input-tag suitability, and divergence between model output and plant NOx instrument data.

Not our model required

This pathway does not require the PEMS model to be developed by Zolena Lab. The scope is second opinion, diagnosis, and technical interpretation unless a new model-development task is separately agreed.

Useful before purchase or acceptance

The review can support buyers, owners, and project teams before purchasing, accepting, maintaining, troubleshooting, or expanding a PEMS model.

Clear review boundary

A PEMS second opinion is not certification, regulatory approval, RATA, legal assurance, or a substitute for qualified testing where those are required.

Zolena Lab can complete PEMS data analysis and predictive modeling work, provide second opinions on existing model or supplier materials, coordinate with the customer's EPC contractor, environmental consultant, control system integrator, equipment supplier, CEMS or analyzer provider, and qualified testing partners when a project requires them.

Before formal work begins, the scope, responsibilities, deliverables, schedule, fees, subcontractor authority, and change process are confirmed based on the equipment type, data time range, tag list, local requirements, and customer goals.

Technical validation is not regulatory approval, certification, legal third-party testing, or formal assurance.

Scoped by project conditions

The actual scope depends on equipment type, local requirements, existing materials, customer needs, subcontractor authority, and whether qualified partners are needed for adjacent professional work.

Current commercial PEMS positioning is focused on NOx. CO or other pollutants are assessed only when sufficient historical analyzer or CEMS data, model basis, validation basis, and delivery capability are available.
